what could be more american than leveraging tax payer supported muscle against the tax payer? just like its less organized and individually localized cousin police brutality, the government for business by the business has systematically reduced the protection that strength in numbers ought to provide in an effort to eke out what’s left of the have nots through the diminishment of the labor union. just as the slave shakes off the shackles so that he may fit them onto his own servant, the “founding fathers” divested themselves of monarchy and fit their fellow patriots and citizens with a capitalistic collar and chain. divided and conquered, the tragedy is the popular perception that this tyranny is somehow in the proletariat’s interest and that there is something in the master’s hand to be fed.
