it seems that somebody don’t care too much for money even though it can’t buy sports championships. financial profligacy amongst yankees, knickerbockers, rangers, metropolitans, islanders and giants has yielded little in the way of professional athletic achievement save an increasingly frustrated fan base and the need to solve all problems with more money. clearly the political culture of washington to throw money at the problem has rubbed off on the redskins franchise but it seems that gotham’s general managers just find themselves in a new york state of mind…
