he may not have brains, but it sure seems like he has balls. give the decider some credit for his uncompromising vision in his own infallibility. the united states has been too long without a monarch, an imperial presence and into that void steps he who will not be crossed. finally there is a return to those core values of humanity in which the king of the jungle eats what he wants, beats who he wants, fucks what he wants and there’s no recourse to any natural law other than selection. alas the texas sized cojones may just be lone star neuticles and all that is witnessed is nothing more a monkey dancing to the music of his organ grinder because he doesn’t know any better.

what would a revival, pastoral or sermon be without television today? heretic! do not suggest a morally and spiritually enriching experience, for the modern day shepherd would not be able to tend his flock without a cathode ray crosier, nay you assimilate it! do you not believe that the all-knowing, all-powerful might of tv has infused itself so thoroughly into modern society that clerical duties depend now on an omniscience of entertainment programming by the ecclesia? what can an immortal soul relate to if not the incessant secularisms of conspicuous consumption, trivial pursuits and insatiable satisfactions?

alas shall the breast be beaten and voice cry out with lamentations because the once powerful opiate of the masses must now be cut with the designer drug of the day? sadly such theatricality is not needed, but pray my dear brothers and sisters for the souls of those curating who have succumbed to the seductive wiles of the small screen…lest we are led to our own spiritual demise and eternal damnation.

perhaps it would be best if people weren’t encouraged towards the lord…in fact, perhaps promoting a decidedly non-judeo-christian tradition would more likely yield the rapturous results desired by true believers. it seems like vigilance from the watchtower awaiting the return of the king is counter-productive to experiencing a rapture considering scripture states “the day of the Lord will come like a thief.” with their lord awaiting the opportune moment to behave criminally, ought not that example be followed immediately? is it so specious to encourage antipathy towards christianity whereas living the word as one waits for the end of times only assures it’s continuance? alas, it seems the tribulation is to endure the slings and arrows of outrageous zealots undermining their ascension.

somewhere in a lonely hotel room there’s a guy starting to realize that eternal fate has turned its back on him…

how fallacious to think that the totality of supremacy and omnipotence could be defined, refined and codified for ease of understanding. perhaps an exercise in dumbing down the supernatural while reducing the experiential to formula in order to simplify adoption or merely facilitate a vicarious spirituality, it’s a preposterous proposition that all between the alpha and the omega can be encompassed by just barely above primative primates. an obvious desire of past travelers is to assist fellow seekers on the way to the way, but the map of the road less traveled invariably stops at some point and becomes a journey of faith, unlike the fork to fundamentalism.

the united states of america, where the myth of rugged individualism meets the protestant work ethic to produce a land of do-it-yourself religion. when no one else can smell what you’re cooking, come start your own nation, kill or convert some heathens and annually commemorate your own starvation; when they don’t get you and your golden plates, get a few wives and your own state; and when you realize the imminence of helter skelter, just go up to the hollywood hills and make things a little better. were it not for the first amendment, the united states would be deprived of much of it’s modern folklore: how a little trip to guyana can show that sugar sweetened drinks are not just for children; how a siege in texas can contribute the term “religious compound” to the everyday, ordinary american’s lexicon as well as little known acronyms like “atf” and “fubar”; or how to best prepare for a ride on a comet is self castration.

just like the methamphetamine labs popping up amongst the amber waves of grain, anyone with a ‘git-r-done’ attitude using a little bit of farm fertilizer, a box of cold tablets and the sword of the lord can find an abiding flock and a shepherd’s hook to tend it. could a more idealized republic be realized than one in which the masses manufacture their own opiates? unfortunately something is lost amidst the zealotry, and americans have not been able to keep all that made their country, but comfort can be taken from the counsel of the troubadour of the times, meat loaf:

“now don’t be sad, ’cause two out of three ain’t bad.”
